Hi there!
My name is Bree. I’m 20 years old, from Auckland, New Zealand. :]
I have started working towards a goal: to lose 51 kgs (112 lbs) and get healthy before I start to develop health problems. I am incredibly unfit and want to change that.
I have created this blog to track my progress.
So a bit of background information:
I have always been a large person. I’ve always been tall for my age, and I have ALWAYS been concious about my weight. I have been a yo-yo dieter since I was about 13, and I’ve just never stuck to it. So, I’m going to try and give it another go, but stick to it this time, make it a life style change.
I know I can do it. I’ve lost weight before. Just, sticking to it is the problem.
What elseeee?
I have a big long list saved on my iPod about why I’m doing this, but I’ll give you the most important ones:
For my health
To heighten my self esteem
To get fit so I can keep up with mates
To say ‘I USED TO BE FAT’ (love that show)
To be able to do things that I couldn’t do before
To be able to go into a clothing store and not have such a hard time finding clothes that fit
To achieve this I will be trying to eat a balanced diet, and get better with portion control. I will also be trying to exercise a LOT more. I’m going to post things that I’m eating, and exercises I’m doing, as it’ll help me keep track of what I’m doing and followers can offer helpful suggestions. Comments and questions about anything are welcomed. Please feel free to submit tips, tricks, recipes and ideas.
So with all that said, I suppose all that’s left is the stats I’m currently working with:
Name: Bree
Age: 20
Height: 6’0”  =  182cm
Starting Weight: 278 lbs = 126 kgs
Goal Weight: 165 lbs  =  75 kgs
P.S: I do use kilograms as a weight unit, because I’m from New Zealand. We don’t use pounds a whole lot here.
P.P.P.S I have set short term goals:
Everyone losing weight should. :]I have used the weight watchers method of using a percentage of my initial weight increasing in fives.
